October 26, 1871, the firstpassenger train stopped at the soon-to-be Denver and Rio Grande Railroad Depotin the infant city of Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Many trains followed, bringing hearty souls of adventurous spirit... miners dreaming of quick wealthin the gold and silver mines of the region, settlers searching for a new startat the gateway to the Colorado Rockies, socialites vacationing in "LittleLondon" founded by railroad tycoon General William Palmer, tubercularsufferers seeking a cure in the dry, healing climate.  The glorious paradeended in 1971, when the last passenger train faded from view... But that sameDepot still stands, gracious as a grand lady slightly past her prime, a proudtestimonial to her splendid history... And Giuseppe's Depot continues that finetradition of western hospitality to today's visitors.  Enjoy your meal andfeel the rich history of our past.
